This article shows the results of Breyer's botanical excursions to the surrounding areas of Sompolno. Thus it covers a subject quite unusual for genealogical or historic research.

Nevertheless this article has been included in the list of web editions because we think that it shows very much of the versatility and scientific competence of the teacher and local historian Albert Breyer. Actually it was the attention to detail of the scientist and the interdisciplinary approach of a teacher that granted Breyer's research of settlement history the substance that makes it still valuable today.
