This early publication of Albert Breyer's research results as a fortunately very detailed draft is still one of the most comprehensive descriptions of origin and living conditions of ethnic Germans in Central Poland.

For each region the varying origin and history of the German settlers living in that landscape is described.

This publication also contains the map: "Landschaftliche Gliederung des Deutschtums in Mittelpolen", which we show under "Settlement History" in a digital version.

There are many hints that much more detailed presentations of the issue were planed for later publications. Unfortunately Albert Breyer did not life to complete these works.
