Die erste deutsche Tuchmacherstadt in Mittelpolen
(Dombie)

In this article Breyer covers the rise and fall of the cloth worker craft in Dombie (Dąbie).
The promotion of the cloth worker craft in Dąbie resulted in an increased German immigration to the small city; the flourishing cloth worker business brought other business to the well developing city.
The general crisis of the cloth worker craft during industrialization and the rapid development of the cloth industry in Łódz brought the end to the cloth workers at Dąbie.
However the title "oldest" cloth worker city in Central Poland belongs to Nowy-Dwór, the city located at the junction of Narew and Vistula, as Breyer adds in a supplement to the article.
