More Cemetery Projects

Besides our own project for the documentation of old cemeteries there are more projects and internet sites covering the issue of old cemeteries in Poland.

The Tak Trzeba project, organized by Anna Zglińska, is restoring old Lutheran cemeteries in the area of the 'Dobriner Land'. The cemeteries in Makowiska and in Liciszewy have already been restored.

Tak Niewiele is a restoration project for the Lutheran cemetery in Osówka, gmina Sierpc.

A very enthusiastic group of very young people from Sierpc have organized this restoration. The initiator of the project is Tomasz Kowalski, who is attending the Liceum in Sierpc.

There are also very interesting pictures of the work which has been done at the cemetery.

A very professional cemetery project has been realized by the Komitet Renowacji Cmentarzy Olęderskich w Gminie Nekla. The website informs about the cemeteries as well as the project work. There is comprehensive historic information and - an excellent idea - the old land registers and church records for download.

Very comprehensive are the pages for cemeteries in the Łódź area: Cmentarze ewangelickie, by Bartek Bijak.

There is also an impressive implementation of Przemek Mierzejewski covering the cemeteries in the area of Nowy Tomyśl Cmentarze.
