Ethnic German settlers have been living in the area around Michałki and Rypin since 1710.
The visitation reports of the responsible Pastors mention German schools (Kantoratsschulen) for many of the villages. The year a school for a village is mentioned for the first time can be assumed as founding year of the village.

Michałki became the center of Lutheran religious live. In 1779 a prayer house was built.
In 1784 Count Michael Hieronymus von Podoski, Erbherr of Kupnowo founded the parish of Michałki.
After the church at Rypin has been finished in 1888 the parish moved to Rypin.
In 1936 Michałki got it's own church.
In 1938 the parish of Michałki-Rypin was devided and Michałki got it's own administration.

In 2006 the outside of the church seemed very much to be in need of repairs.

In 2008 repairs had been started at the outside of the church. I took the chance to have a stroll through the inside of the church building. What I found was a bright and very carefully renovated Interior.
