The cemetery of Włęcz is located on a small hill between the main street and the Vistula. On earlier visits the cemetery could be recognized as a dense thicket near the road. In summer 2008 I initially drove past the cemetery because I did not recognize it anymore.
As I learned later, a school class from Osiek had done a renovation project for this cemetery. They had cut off all the lilac bushes to grant free access to the gravestones. The masses of dry bushes still lay in huge piles at the cemetery.
The first pictures show the condition of the cemetery in 2005. The rest of the pictures shows the condition of the cemetery in 2008.
