The site of the Jewish cemetery of Gostynin is now a vacant lot on the Goscinna street. There are only a few trees and grass to be seen. During the period of National Socialism the cemetery was vandalized and the grave stones were used for road construction. As in so many cities in Poland, the proportion of Jewish residents in Gostynins was significant. With a total population of 6684 in 1921 there were about 1830 Jews living in Gostynin.
