The old Lutheran cemetery of Kopanino is located north of the street. lt is enclosed by a wire netting fence with cement posts. The door to the cemetery is usually unlocked. When I could not open it, immediately a neighbor came over and opend as well as lubricated the small iron door.
The cemetery encloses a small hill. At the margins of the cemetery there are some old lime and oak trees. Among them there is a very old oak tree. The cemetery is kept clean of bushes and most parts are covered with grass. Lilac is sprouting in many places.
There are about 15 graves recognizable. Some of them show standing gravestones or iron fences.
The trunk of the very old oak tree at the cemetery still shows traces of the fire which destroyed the chapel which had been located beside the cemetery.
